What issues can I work on?
The range of issues that people bring to this powerful, transformative work is wide. Shadow work is both trauma informed and trauma centric, and is appropriate for working with a wide range of issues.
Some of the things that people bring to their sessions, and which are welcome in my practice room:
childhood trauma, abandonment, sexual abuse, boarding school trauma, grief, anger, anxiety, relationship patterns and difficulties, parenting challenges, workplace blocks/challenges. And others. If I have not mentioned something that you are thinking of working with, please email me - this list is not exhaustive and there are many issues not included that you as a unique individual may wish to explore.
Shadow work is equally for those of you who are highly experienced in inner work; those of you who are trained in other healing and psychotherapeutic modalities; and those of who are approaching your inner work for the first time.
It can also be valuable to do Healing The Shadow work as part of your wider therapeutic journey. This might include talking therapy, counselling, acupuncture, shiatsu or a range of other healing modalities that you are accessing.
Shadow work can also work well alongside specific trauma therapy (such as EMDR).
I welcome you to my practice whatever your race, your nationality, your gender identity or your sexuality.
